The character building was also very good, something that I have never see in any adaptation.
The special effect are also exquisitely done, not overly doing it so still acceptable to watch but able to relay how good of a Wukong Zhang Wuji has, perhaps the best Fighter of the time.
HEAVENLY SWORD DRAGON SABER 2000 SERIES
Perhaps this is the only series that I watched and listened to the opening theme every time I am watching. It is also helpful that the Main Theme is by Emil Wakin Chau. It helps us understand the emotion underwent in the characters during the particular scene. The music score were heartwarming and help with the mood as we watched the characters playing it. You can see Zhang Wuji, Zhao Min and Zhou ZHiruo in the most dashing clothes which in my opinion rise to the occasions. The wardrobe are also worth complimenting. This include the choice of Wudang Mountain and the whole temple is just awesome to watch. Scenery is also amazing, the choice of places are exceptional and highlighting all extraordinary places that you can only find in China. The story line is very good, it was executed perfectly under a good Director.

The Yuan remnants retreat to the Eurasian Steppe after losing China, where they establish the Northern Yuan dynasty under the leadership of Toghon Temür. Four years later, the founding emperor's subordinate, Xu Da, leads an attack on the Yuan capital (present-day Beijing), where the Hongwu Emperor is finally legitimately enthroned under the Mandate of Heaven. After capturing the city of Nanjing, he enrobes himself in the Dragon Robe and establishes the Ming dynasty as the Hongwu Emperor. Ideally, Zhang would have become the new emperor, but instead, the general Zhu Yuanzhang seizes command of Ming Cult's military and unites most of China's rebel forces. (The second edition of the novel has an ambiguous ending about Zhang Wuji's relationship with Zhou Zhiruo.) Zhang Wuji gave up an opportunity to become a ruler when the Ming Cult on the verge to overthrew the Yuan dynasty. He decides that Zhao Min is his true love and they leave to lead a reclusive life far away from society. At the end of the novel, Zhang Wuji decides to retire from the jianghu after he mistakenly believes that the Ming Cult's members are plotting to betray him.
